Overview
The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center (CCIE Data Center) is an expert-level training course for network engineers that will assist them in providing efficiently managed services while creating a large Service Provider infrastructure.
The Evolving Technologies module is only available in the Written exam. This module facilitates the integration of core technological competence with understanding of emerging technologies, such as cloud, IoT, and network programmability.
A candidate must pass the following exam(s) to acquire the CCIE Service Provider certification:
The first step is to take the CCIE Service Provider Written Exam (400-201)
Before being allowed to take the lab exam, the applicant must pass a two-hour written exam that focuses on the ideas presented in the training relating to packet-based networking.
Step 2: Take the CCIE Service Provider Lab Exam.
Step two comprises an eight-hour lab exam to assess the candidate’s ability to setup actual equipment and administer a service provider network in a timed test environment. The applicant must attempt the CCIE Lab Exam within 18 months of passing the CCIE writing exam.
Candidates are encouraged to pass the lab test within three years after completing the written exam; otherwise, the writing exam must be retaken before the lab exam may be retaken.
Cisco CCIE SP Exam Description:
The Cisco CCIE Service Provider Written Exam (400-201) version 4.0 is a two-hour exam with 90-110 questions designed to validate professionals who can design, implement, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex Service Provider highly available network infrastructure and services based on dual stack solutions (IPv4 and IPv6); understand how network and service components interoperate; and understand the functional requirements and constraints.
Although there are no official requirements for Cisco CCIE certification, applicants should have a solid grasp of the test subjects and should have three to five years of professional experience before attempting certification. Being a CCNP for Service Provider will assist students, but it is not required.
Every two years, CCIEs are needed to recertify.
To recertify you can:
- Earn the necessary credits by participating in the Cisco Continuing Education Program, or
- Obtain a passing score on any current CCIE Written Exam OR CCIE Lab Exam, or
- Pass the most recent CCDE Written Exam OR the most recent CCDE Practical Exam, or
- To extend lesser credentials, you must pass both the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview and the CCAr board review.
If you do not complete your recertification by the dates, your CCIE certification will be suspended, and you and your organization will forfeit the benefits that come with being an expert. After then, you have one year to reactivate your CCIE status before becoming inactive and having to start the certification procedure all over again.
Cisco CCIE Future Job Scope and Salary
