C1 Advanced Preparation Course

C1 Advanced, formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced or CAE, is a high-level English qualification. It demonstrates the ability to use English effectively in academic and professional settings.

The qualification is aligned with CEFR Level C1 and is suitable for university study, international employment, and advanced everyday communication.

The exam assesses Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. It is available in digital and paper-based formats and takes approximately four hours.

Results are reported on the Cambridge English Scale. Scores of 200 to 210 receive Grade A, 193 to 199 receive Grade B, and 180 to 192 receive Grade C.

Candidates scoring 180 to 199 receive a C1 certificate. Scores of 200 to 210 are reported as achievement at CEFR Level C2, while 160 to 179 are reported at Level B2.
