NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN Preparation Course
NCLEX stands for National Council Licensure Examination. It is a computer-based nursing licensure examination developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
The exam assesses whether candidates have the nursing knowledge, practical skills, and clinical judgment required for safe entry-level practice. It uses computerized adaptive testing, which adjusts question difficulty according to the candidate’s performance.
There are two types of NCLEX examinations:
- NCLEX-RN: For candidates seeking licensure as registered nurses
- NCLEX-PN: For candidates seeking licensure as practical or vocational nurses in the United States
Passing the NCLEX is an important part of the nursing licensure process. Candidates must also meet the education and eligibility requirements established by their chosen nursing regulatory body.
